Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in New York, New York
Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in New York, New York. The selected candidate will be joining a retail company based in Midtown Manhattan and work within the accounting team. The role involves handling accounts payable tasks and requires proficiency in using SAGE Intacct.
Responsibilities:
• Handle full cycle accounts payable processes
• Utilize SAGE Intacct for various accounting tasks
• Maintain and update vendor files and payment records in the system
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts
• Perform account reconciliations using Microsoft Excel
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Generate financial reports related to accounts payable
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding payment queries
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payment transactions
• Maintain compliance with established accounting policies and procedures. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Account Reconciliation
• Knowledge and experience with Sage Intacct
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
