Description
We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator in the retail/apparel industry. The role is based in New York, New York, United States and involves overseeing the collection of chargebacks and maintaining customer relations.
Responsibilities:
• Investigate and manage the collection of chargebacks from retailers within the apparel industry
• Maintain regular communication with sales teams and buyers to resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts
• Regularly review customer portals for updates or changes that could impact account balances
• Proactively address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the management team to improve processes and strategies in relation to accounts receivable
• Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) and handling chargebacks to ensure efficient operations
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures in relation to accounts receivable.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 1+ year of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar
• Proficient in handling Chargebacks and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
• Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
• High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
