Description We are in search of an Assistant Controller to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry based in New York. This role involves managing the corporate entity and its sister entities, preparing financial statements, and conducting intercompany reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of the corporate entity and 2-3 sister entities

• Supervise and mentor junior level staff members

• Prepare and analyze monthly and annual P& L, Balance Sheet, and corresponding schedules

• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Handle intercompany transaction analysis and reconciliations

• Perform bank and cash reconciliations, manage cash flows

• Participate in year-end audits

• Interact with other department heads at both Corporate and Property level

• Utilize Excel skills to manage and analyze data, experience with Yardi is beneficial but not essential. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Real Estate & Property industry.

• Demonstrated skills in Auditing, highlighting a strong aptitude for identifying potential issues or inconsistencies in financial data.

• Proven expertise in Budget Processes, displaying a capacity to plan, organize, and manage financial resources effectively.

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant financial rules and regulations.

• Experience in Intercompany Accounting, showcasing an understanding of managing financial transactions within different units of the same corporation.

• Knowledge of Corporate Entities, indicating an awareness of different business structures and their respective financial requirements.

• Proficiency in using Intercompany software to manage and streamline financial processes and transactions.

• A professional qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field would be considered advantageous.
