Description We are looking for a Trust & Estates Attorney to join our legal team in New York. The individual will play a critical role in our firm, providing expert legal advice and representation to our clients in various commercial disputes. This role is particularly suited to those who have an interest in the Trust & Estates practice, with the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients from business owners and investors to artists and authors.
Responsibilities:
• Provide legal representation to clients in commercial disputes
• Develop comprehensive estate plans for high-net-worth individuals and families
• Provide counsel to clients using a mix of institutional knowledge and inventive strategies
• Handle some investment trust work as part of your responsibilities
• Contribute to the growth of our Trust & Estates team
• Use legal software such as LexisNexis and case management systems efficiently
• Handle legal documentation and complaint handling with meticulous attention to detail
• Utilize your excellent judgement and analytical skills to benefit our clients
• Manage administrative tasks related to the role effectively
• Utilize your strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relations with clients and team members. Requirements • Possession of a valid license to practice law in the jurisdiction of employment
• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing law
• Proficiency in legal software such as 3M, Case Management Software, LexisNexis
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation and claim administration
• Experience in handling complaints and legal documentation
• Strong briefing skills and the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly
• Proficient in management systems for efficient organization and tracking of cases
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and personal development in the field of law.
