Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consumer Class Action Attorney to join our dynamic complex, high-stakes litigation legal team in New York City.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience handling consumer class action litigation, with a strong understanding of federal and state consumer protection laws. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and is committed to advocating for consumer rights. The firm represents real people in cases involving consumer fraud, data privacy, product liability, and dangerous pharmaceutical drugs.
Role: Associate Attorney - plaintiff side class action litigation
Schedule: discuss with partners to figure out a schedule that works best.
Salary: $175-$180K
Bonus: individual and year-end bonuses are provided.
Responsibilities:
First chairing discovery
Understanding all aspects of litigation
Drafting motions and pleadings in relation to class action lawsuits
Collaboration with team
Trial prep and experience is needed
Communicating professionally with clients and opposing counsel
Attending depositions, hearings, pre-trial conferences, and mediations
Has experience litigating class action lawsuits and can hit the ground running!
Requirements • Possession of a valid license to practice law
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role
• Proficiency in using 3M and Case Management Software
• Familiarity with Legal software and LexisNexis
• Experience in using Management Systems
• Proven skills in Briefing and Civil Litigation
• Experience in Claim Administration and Complaint Handling
• Strong ability in Documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of professional ethics and integrity
• Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
