Description

We are in search of a Billing Clerk to be part of our Legal team in New York. In this role, you will handle customer credit applications and maintain precise records, monitor customer accounts, and resolve customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Taking charge of customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Keeping a precise record of customer credit

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary

• Utilizing Aderant software for billing purposes and maintaining records

• Developing and growing into a supervisor role within the accounting department in the future

• Demonstrating proficiency in intermediate Excel functions, including VL/PT

• Ensuring all accounts payable tasks are completed timely and accurately.

Requirements

• Candidate should have at least one year of experience in a similar role..

• Prior experience in the legal industry is required

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• Bachelor's degree

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion is a must.

• Experience with using Aderant or Elite 3E is required

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines is required.

• Experience with legal billing software is a plus.
