Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent Bookkeeper in New York. The role support the cash management team and will involve processing, maintaining, and analyzing financial transactions, with a focus on donations. As a Bookkeeper, you will have a significant role in managing and maintaining our financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process donations, including ACH and checks/wire transfers, and code them to the General Ledger.
• Conduct thorough analysis of General Ledger donations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Perform bank reconciliations regularly to guarantee all financial transactions align with our records.
• Utilize your strong background in bookkeeping and accounting to ensure the company's financial health.
• Manage cash flow effectively, ensuring funds are available for business operations and investments.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry tasks to keep our financial records up-to-date.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Workday software to manage and analyze financial data.
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks efficiently.
• Conduct Account Reconciliation tasks to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for.
• Assist in other financial tasks as needed, demonstrating your adaptability and commitment to the role
Requirements
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Demonstrated skills in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of Bookkeeping practices
• Proficiency in Data Entry
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivots & Vlookups)
• Experience with Workday software preferred
• Familiarity with handling Donations
• Proficient in Cash Management
