Robert Half Bookkeeper in New York, New York
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in New York, New York. This role is situated within a small finance/HR department and involves processing information in a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility of choosing onsite days.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications and issue payments promptly.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure credit cards are processed correctly.
• Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring data accuracy.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable using Blackbaud.
• Efficiently handle around 100 to 150 invoices with no system entry, but ensuring adequate backup is available.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks for bookkeeping and data entry tasks.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliation and month-end close tasks.
• Process payroll information as required.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on account status. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation and data entry
• Demonstrated ability to handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Experience with bank reconciliations and month-end close
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles
• Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with payroll processes and systems
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
• Experience in monthly bank reconciliation tasks
• Familiarity with Blackbaud software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
