Robert Half Bookkeeper in New York, New York
Description Robert Half has a client in need of talented and eager Bookkeepers for a new permanent role. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply today! Data entry, cash applications, and full cycle A/P will be the main responsibilities of the Bookkeeper. This will often include some light coding along with general ledger reconciliation and journal entries. Apart from this, you will manage month-end closing, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and accounts payable. If you are a self-driven and organized professional, we encourage you to apply immediately! This Bookkeeper role will be located in the New York, New York area and will be a permanent position.
How you will make an impact
Corroborate monthly accounting close
Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Well-versed in credit card management and reconciliation
Set up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Catalog sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Oversee monthly accounting close
Manage Accounts Payable
Supplementary assignments when necessary
Supply cash flow projections, as needed
Keep general ledger updated
Manage Accounts Receivable Requirements - Ability to meet deadlines
Bookkeeping experience desired
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Significant accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- 5+ years of related experience- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
