Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in New York, New York. The position involves managing the financial aspects of our business while liaising with a team based in France. This role is crucial in maintaining and improving our financial processes, reporting, and compliance with French GAAP.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports in adherence to French GAAP.
• Manage a team of three individuals, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow.
• Assist in the consolidation of financial data into our New York office.
• Implement and monitor process improvements within financial operations.
• Communicate effectively with French counterparts, ideally aligning work hours to overlap with France's time zone for three days per week.
• Use Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions to manage accounting functions effectively.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain accurate records and ensure timely payments.
• Conduct regular auditing to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial data.
• Participate in budget processes to ensure financial efficiency and profitability.
• Address and resolve any issues related to French payroll and French taxes. Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Prior experience with DCAA is expected
• Ability to manage ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed
• Knowledge of NetSuite ERP Solutions is a must
• Must be capable of handling all Accounting Functions
• Must be proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
• Auditing skills are a must
• Knowledge and experience in managing Budget Processes are required
