Robert Half Controller/Senior Accountant in New York, New York
Description
Hospitality client is looking to hire a Controller/Senior Accountant to their team. This position is located in Manhattan and will be in the office full time, so seeking locally based candidates only.
Core Finance Responsibilities:
Responsible for all cash handling procedures
Perform reconciliation and analysis for several balance sheet accounts
Analyze financial results for both internal and external use
Track and maintain monthly P/L and balance sheet activity
Develop forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities
Review of general ledger and balance sheet
Resolving various accounting/reconciliation issues
Financial reports: monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting, report preparation and distribution
Maintain inventory and cost control procedures
Payroll and Human Resources administration
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
Core Strategy & Analytics Responsibilities:
Acts as a liaison with the team, including partner’s operational team, Levy team and other areas as needed to ensure efficient operational performance
Identifying opportunities to optimize existing product offerings, distribution, and pricing
Communicating key guest insights, industry trends, and conducting market research as needed to recommend changes to pricing or business models
Create reporting (dashboards, slide decks, status updates) standards and formats for the client, operator, and executive use
Performing quarterly & annual partner reviews

Requirements
• Accounting/Finance degree
• Good Excel
• 4+ years Restaurant/Hospitality Accounting experience
