Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in the non-profit industry, located in New York, New York. This role will primarily involve heavy data entry for the "Meals on Wheels" program, where you'll ensure the accurate recording of whether clients have received their meals or not.
Responsibilities:
• Heavy data entry into the "Meals on Wheels" database to record client meal deliveries
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of each entry
• Regularly update and maintain client records in the database
• Verify and correct data where necessary
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily tasks in a timely manner
• Liaise with the "Meals on Wheels" team to clarify any discrepancies in the data
• Ensure all client information is kept confidential
• Adhere to data entry guidelines and standards to maintain data integrity
• Assist in creating and generating reports from the database as needed
• Handle data related queries and resolve issues promptly. Requirements • Proven experience in data entry, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Proficiency in using various data entry software and tools.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in entering data.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent typing skills, with a high typing speed.
• Good understanding of office processes and administrative procedures.
• Strong skills in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work in a team and contribute to achieving common goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in a relevant field will be an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple data entry tasks concurrently.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
