Robert Half Data Reporting Analyst in New York, New York

Description Robert Half is looking for a certified Data Analyst to join our client! The ideal candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Some responsibilities of the Data Analyst include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design, as well as developing analysis and reporting capabilities. You will also identify improvements to quality control plans by monitoring performance.


  • Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout

  • Review data to identify changes in financial and business trends

  • Collect data and perform accurate analysis for various types of business reports

  • Assemble business reports that provide insight into key data points

  • Help other departments reach their goals by providing analysis

  • Own the maintenance of databases and perform updates as necessary for accuracy

  • Communicate findings of data analysis to managers, written and verbally

  • Design business analysis and data recording systems for use throughout the department Requirements - Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions

  • Skilled in object-oriented programming and other data analysis programs

  • Able to notice small details that could impact results

  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines and manage time- Experience creating pivot tables, graphs, and charts using data tools

  • Skilled in written and verbal communication to effectively relate data to coworkers

  • Comfortable with business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a financial or business analyst
