Description Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join our client! The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. This may be the role for you if you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company.

How you will make an impact

• Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal

• Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers

• Compare monthly operating results against budget

• Manage daily operations of the finance and accounting department

• Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff

• Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives

• Take ownership of insurance and risk management

• Own financial planning and budget management functions

• Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models

• Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions

• Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance

• Manage the composition of financial outlooks and financial forecasts

• Oversee the preparation of all financial reports Requirements

• Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills

• Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel

• MBA is preferred

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

• 10+ years of accounting and finance experience

• Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Efficiency in a variety of accounting and financial reporting systems
