Robert Half Finance Manager in New York, New York

Description Offered through Robert Half and available for immediate hire, utilize your accounting skills as an Accounting Manager for a progressive company. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. An integral part of this position is establishing and scaling company accounting and finance operations. How you will make an impact

  • Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures

  • Play a key role in system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration of NetSuite Financials

  • Regularly review and inspect balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

  • Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met

  • Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, which includes document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes Requirements - Solid technical skills

  • Grant accounting experience required

  • Strong familiarity with financial statement preparation

  • Solid understanding of Nonprofit Organizations

  • Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers

  • 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
