Description

We have a client who is looking to fill a Full Charge Bookkeeper role promptly with a candidate who can lead the clerical staff and manage full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, and audit. Seeking a full-time Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their Architecture team, our client in the New York, New York area, is working with Robert Half Finance and Accounting to find a experience in candidate to join their Architecture team. Key responsibilities

  • Direct Accounts Receivable

  • Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Proficient in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Govern monthly accounting close

  • Categorize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Clarify business license and gross receipts

  • Assemble cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Organize cash flow projections, as needed

  • Log budget transfers

  • Supplementary assignments when necessary

  • Produce subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Look after Accounts Payable

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Deltek

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

  • Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
