Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in NEW YORK, New York

Description Qualified candidates should be self-driven and organized accounting professionals capable of thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in this Bookkeeper role. We are on the look out for a talented Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will manage full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation and audit. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will also take care of the clerical staff. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the New York, New York area. Don't wait - submit an application today!

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Get ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • File cash flow projections, as needed

  • Catalog sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Regulate Accounts Receivable

  • Draw up monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Outline business license and gross receipts

  • Accomplished in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Catalog budget transfers

  • Organize cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Other distinguished projects when necessary

  • Govern monthly accounting close

  • Sustain Accounts Payable Requirements

  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

    • Noteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

    • 10+ years of related experience- Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
  • Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Strong familiarity with Sage Timberline Software

  • Knowledge of Sage Timberline a MUST

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Sage Timberline

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired

  • Highly organized and self-motivated
