If you thrive with minimal supervision under tight deadlines, you might be the accounting professional we're searching for this Bookkeeper role. A Full Charge Bookkeeper has become available with one of our start up/tech services clients. A demonstrated ability in overseeing cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close, will be critical to the success of this Full Charge Bookkeeper role. The Full Charge Bookkeeper might also be allowed to lead the clerical staff. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the New York, New York area. Act now and submit an application today!

Major responsibilities

  • Assemble sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Create cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Record budget transfers

  • Complete Accounts Payable

  • Regulate Accounts Receivable

  • Qualified in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Supervise monthly accounting close

  • Iron out subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Provide cash flow projections, as needed

  • Clarify business license and gross receipts

  • Additional special projects if necessary

  • Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

Requirements - BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

    • Noteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

    • 3+ years of related experience- Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Quickbooks Online experience

  • Proficiency in depreciation

  • Pivot Table experience

  • Foundational knowledge in Amortization
