Description
Established New York City firm is currently seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing all aspects of general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as well as handling payroll information, credit card statements, and cash flow.
Reconciling bank and credit card statements.
Preparing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Processing payroll and maintaining employee records.
Handling tax computations and returns.
Assisting in audits and resolving discrepancies.
Processing company's invoices and liaising with clients, suppliers, and vendors.
Administering and maintaining effective systems for dealing with financial related matters.
Assisting with budget preparations.
Managing petty cash transactions and recording expenses.
Advising management on financial issues and assisting in decision making.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Proven bookkeeping experience with sufficient experience capable of doing the job independently.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software packages.
Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
