Robert Half Grants Manager in New York, New York
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Grants Manager to join our team in the non-profit industry, located in New York, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing grants, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This role will also involve financial management and reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and review of budgets for assigned regions/departments/areas
• Prepare and distribute reports that provide insights for business decision-making
• Analyze operational issues and their financial impact, identifying areas of risk and opportunity
• Assist in the development of presentations and long-term financial planning
• Prepare and manage grants, contracts, and all restricted funds reporting
• Ensure compliance with our grants and contracts with government agencies and funders’ policies and procedures
• Oversee the preparation of grants budget and the budget modification process
• Develop monthly grants and contract budget vs. actuals report, grants usage report and other reports as needed
• Participate in meetings with the Program Leadership team to review receivables and expenditures related to grants and contracts
• Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue and fullest cost recovery. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the non-profit sector
• Proficient in Grant Accounting, Grant Administration, and Grant Management
• Demonstrated experience in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local grant policies and procedures
• Proven track record of successful grant applications and management
• Experience with financial reporting and compliance for grant programs.
