Robert Half Help Desk Technician in New York, New York

Description We are looking to recruit a skilled Help Desk Analyst to join our team in New York. In this role, you will provide expert-level technical support to end-users in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining our high standard of customer service by resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems running Windows and Mac operating systems, collaborating with users to address software and hardware requirements

• Utilize expertise in Office 365 and OneDrive to manage and troubleshoot applications and services, and administer user accounts, ensuring data integrity and security

• Administer and maintain user accounts and access permissions in Active Directory, resolving any authentication and authorization issues

• Implement and manage Mobile Device Management solutions, providing support for mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets

• Utilize a ticketing system to track, prioritize, and document support requests, providing timely updates to users

• Apply knowledge of Networking best practices, specifically with DHCP and DNS, to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues

• Collaborate with the network team to ensure the smooth operation of the IT systems.

Required skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows

• Understanding of DHCP - DNS Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Help Desk Analyst role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is required.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows is essential.

• Familiarity with DHCP - DNS is a must.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are necessary.

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users are required.

• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• A keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality service are necessary.

• Should have the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.

• Certification in ITIL, CompTIA A+, or a similar field is a plus.

• Must have a strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.

• The ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues is required.

• Must be available for shift work, including weekends and evenings.

• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus but not a requirement.

• The applicant must have a strong commitment to continuous learning and detail oriented development in IT.
