Robert Half Management Accountant in New York, New York
Description We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our team based in New York. In this role, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities centered around analyzing investment activities, managing annuity contracts, assisting in the administration of estates and trusts, and performing budget reviews.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze investment activities on a monthly basis and prepare detailed reports summarizing findings.
• Reconcile and record all transactions related to the investment portfolio.
• Review annuity contract calculations for accuracy and prepare necessary state filings.
• Assist with the administration of estates and trusts, including the preparation and maintenance of all necessary schedules and reports.
• Perform monthly budget reviews and summarize findings for presentation.
• Collaborate with individual directors to review monthly budget activities.
• Utilize various accounting software systems to perform tasks efficiently.
• Adhere to established accounting functions and principles, including accrual accounting.
• Participate in annual audits, preparing all necessary reports and footnotes.
• Assist with state annuity audits as required. Requirements • Possessing proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated experience with Concur software
• Having knowledge and experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools
• Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and ERP Solutions
• Experience with 'About Time' software is essential
• Deep understanding of Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in Accrual Accounting
• Experience in managing Annual Budgets
• Possessing auditing skills and experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness
• CPA certification would be an added advantage.
