Robert Half Network Analyst Administrator in New York, New York
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a entry level Network Administrator in New York, New York. This role is pivotal in maintaining and supporting the organization's server infrastructure, user support, and security compliance. The position involves a mix of on-site and remote work.
Responsibilities: • Maintaining and supporting Windows Server 2019 – 2022 and macOS environments. • Ensuring all servers are updated with the latest security updates. • Managing all users in Windows Active Directory. • Ensuring the functionality of all video conferencing systems. • Providing user support for all desktop issues in both Windows and macOS environments. • Ensuring user desktops are up-to-date and compliant with the organization's security policies. • Providing support for all VPN issues in Fortinet. • Collaborating with the department head to ensure all servers are updated and protected from vulnerabilities. • Monitoring server logs and taking immediate action when issues arise. • Working with the security team to maintain the organization's security posture through firewall monitoring. • Providing support for all Microsoft 365 issues, including emails and user accounts. • Continuously seeking ways to improve on-premises and cloud infrastructures. • Actively scanning all systems, including servers and endpoints, for vulnerabilities and working with the team to deploy patches and harden these systems. • Working closely with the team to ensure that the organization’s needs are met. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Network Administrator role or similar
• Proficiency in Firewall and Cloud Computing
• Experience with Fortinet Firewalls and SIEM Tools
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2019 and Linux operating systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage network security measures
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
