Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer in New York, New York. This role will play a vital role in the administration, implementation, and health of our global enterprise network. As part of our team, you will be committed to ensuring high network availability, implementing best practice network architecture, and maintaining network security.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain the global enterprise network to ensure high network availability.
• Implement best practice network architecture to support the business needs.
• Ensure the security of the network to protect company information and systems.
• Continuously enhance the network environment to improve performance and efficiency.
• Execute projects to completion, even in an environment of competing priorities.
• Provide on-call/after-hours support to address critical issues when they arise.
• Engage with end-users as needed to resolve issues or validate changes to the network.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of deployments for reference and future use.
• Actively engage with ISP’s and equipment procurement vendors to meet service and project objectives.
• Lead discussions on network stability, improvement, standardization, and vision.
• Utilize skills such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Design, Eigrp, Firewall Technologies to perform the role effectively. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 7 years' experience in Network Engineering
• Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
• Experience with Checkpoint is necessary
• Must have expertise in Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies
• Knowledge of Computer Hardware is required
• Must have experience in Configuration Management
• Demonstrated ability in design is expected
• Proficiency in Eigrp is essential
• Must have experience with Firewall Technologies
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field is desired
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest technological advancements
