In NEW YORK, NY: We are offering a PART-TIME contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. As a Paralegal, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that require understanding of legal terminology and procedures:

RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:

• Conducting legal research to support ongoing cases

• Drafting and filing legal documents

• Assisting in the preparation of legal arguments and motions

• Reviewing and monitoring new and updated laws and regulations

• Communicating with clients to gather information and clarify details about their case

• Collaborating with lawyers to prepare for trials and hearings

• Maintaining a comprehensive and organized system for case files and legal resources.

Note firm specializes Securities Litigation, Whistleblower Actions and represents Public Pension Funds as well as high level Institutional Investment Advisors.

Requirements

IMPORTANT NOTE: Role is PART-TIME in nature, and may include on-call / periodic coverage. Please do not apply to this role unless you are comfortable with / available for a part-time, on-site (in-office) schedule in Midtown Manhattan, NYC

REQUIREMENTS / IDEAL SKILLSET:

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field

• Proven experience as a Paralegal (JD's welcome to apply - with TRUE law firm experience).

• Strong knowledge of legal documents and terminology

• Proficiency in using legal software platforms

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks
