Robert Half Paralegal in New York, New York
Description Our client, a real-estate investment, development, and management firm is looking for a real estate paralegal who is energetic, multidimensional, and a great team player. This job will support the day-to-day functions and the growth initiatives of every aspect of the real estate team, including:
Daily abstracting of new leases as they are signed by tenants including review of all information entered into the system.
Administrative duties – collecting rent and following up.
Review of all existing and new deferral agreements / abatement agreements entered.
Review of all Substantial Completion letters
Yearly preparation of select Residential Leases
Send all new insurance lawsuits to the Insurer and Property Manager
Payment of monthly fees for all Corporations and LLCs.
Annual update of the Delaware Entity chart and online payment of all Delaware Entity fees (approximately 70 entities).
Prepare Organizational Chart.
Corporate filings
Review draft Letters of Credit to be submitted by new tenants.
Process new Letter of Credit and provide monthly monitoring of existing Letters of Credit
Review and process Commercial Tenant move outs.
Resolve any outstanding issues when a Net Lease Tenant does not pay Real Estate Taxes.
Perform new Amendment filing and send Affidavit to Managing Agent along with Amendment for distribution.
Manage all requests for reduction of Security Deposits.
Manage tenant requests for issues with billings on their account not matching their lease.
Handle tenant requests for Landlord's W-9s
Oversee the collection of all commercial and residential rent.
Supervise outside Landlord/Tenant counsel and the legal proceedings from a "Five (5) Day Notice" through eviction.
Oversee outside collection counsel post eviction for outstanding arrears owed by past tenants.
Serve as the liaison between Leasing Agents, Property Managers, Accounts Receivable, and Ownership in connection with the collection of all rents and additional rents. Requirements ParaLegals, Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Real Estate
