Robert Half Payroll Administrator in New York, New York

Description

We are in search of a Payroll Administrator to join our client's team in New York. The chosen candidate will be tasked with supporting our team by managing payroll-related tasks for over 1000 employees. This role is based in our New York City headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for a significant number of employees

• Organize, maintain, and update employee wage, tax, and personal information in the HRIS

• Investigate and respond to complex employee inquiries regarding wages, taxes, Paid Time Off (PTO), and deductions

• Review and record Paid Time Off (PTO) requests for biweekly salaried and hourly payroll

• Generate necessary payroll adjustments

• Produce and reconcile timesheets to certified payroll reports, identify and resolve any discrepancies

• Assist in periodic audits, both internally and externally

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and other available office management technology

• Display professional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively document and report important information at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Payroll Administrator

• In-depth knowledge and experience with ADP - Payroll

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
