Robert Half Revenue Accountant (Accountant Level 2) in New York, New York
Description We are in search of a Credit Clerk to join our team based in New York, New York. This role is integral to our Accounting department and is offered as a short-term contract employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be tasked with processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving any credit-related inquiries. They will also be expected to monitor customer credit accounts and initiate action for delinquent payments.
Responsibilities:
• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
• Uphold accurate records of customer credits
• Resolve any customer inquiries related to credit
• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly
• Initiate action for collection of delinquent payments
• Utilize Revenue Accounting skills to ensure accurate financial records
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection laws
• Contribute to team efforts and departmental goals. Requirements • Proven experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position is required.
• Proficiency in revenue accounting is essential for this role.
• Must possess excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficient in using accounting software and databases.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have a strong ethical code and integrity.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems efficiently.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
