Robert Half Revenue Accounting Manager in New York, New York

Description Robert Half is looking for a talented accounting manager to work with a thriving company as an Accounting Manager. This is a successful organization that will recognize your efforts. If you can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, you might be right for this position. You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. Based in the Miami, Florida area, this Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment.

How you will make an impact

  • Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

  • Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures

  • Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Ensure close deadlines are met by encouraging and managing the accounting team performance during the closing process

  • Play a key role in system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration of NetSuite Financials Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

  • 5+ years of recent relevant financial experience

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Proven technical skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Donor Management

  • Well-founded grasp of Compliance documentation

  • Experience with Compliance reporting

  • Donor Communication experience preferred

  • Proven knowledge of compliance management

  • Compliance experience

  • General familiarity with budget forecasting

  • Strong familiarity with non-profit fund accounting

  • Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
