Description Bring your accounting experience and know-how to a dynamic, growing team at Robert Half, now seeking a permanent Senior Accountant in the NEW YORK, New York area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary Requirements - Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Vow to meet business deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Current and relevant ERP system experience
US GAAP experience
Proficiency in journal entries
General ledger experience
Microsoft Excel experience
Month end closings experience desired
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Excellent attention to detail
