Robert Half Senior Associate - Financial Reporting in New York, New York

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a leading financial services company based in New York City seeking a Senior Associate to join our Financial Reporting department. The successful candidate will have strong accounting and reporting expertise, preferably from a public accounting background, and a CPA certification.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing the daily financial reporting operations.

  • Coordinating diligent report activities while ensuring compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations.

  • Analyzing financial results, identifying trends, and presenting findings to senior management.

  • Participating in the development and implementation of new financial systems.

  • Preparing technical accounting memos to document complex accounting issues and resolutions.

  • Assisting the internal and external auditors in conducting interim and year-end audits.

  • Ensuring accurate and timely distribution of financial and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies.

  • Assisting in annual budgets and forecasting process.

  • Continuous evaluation of current policies and procedures and recommendation for process improvements.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.

  • 2-5 years of experience in public accounting.

  • Proficient in US GAAP reporting requirements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with financial software is preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build strong teams.
