Description Are you looking for a Senior Financial Analyst opportunity? If you're available for long-term contract / temporary work, this could be the job for you. Candidates who can be our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting will be preferred for this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role. If you think you can perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments, this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role might be right for you. This Senior Financial Analyst will be placed at the New York, New York office.
How you will make an impact
Advance existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate integral updates to senior management
Provide assistance in ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Survey financial results, condense key trends, appraise current and future business risks, and relay critical updates to senior leadership in the course of normal preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting
Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to drive improved management reporting by tracking financial results more discreetly and accurately
Team closely with Functional leads by executing management reporting, advising in accounting and compliance, and ensuring operational initiatives are in alignment with each other
Create sustainable business, operational, and financial processes widely understood by all necessary teams
Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
Cultivate business performance through the use and execution of financial analysis Requirements - Excellent communication and organizational skills
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel
Compelling strategy mindset and a track record of interacting successfully with management
Highly skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint
Applicants are required to hold a Finance, Business, or related field BA/BS degree
Demonstrated skills in process reengineering and optimization
Comprehensive knowledge of navigating basic office equipment and protocols
Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision makers
Strong proficiency in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
