Robert Half Sr. Accountant in NEW YORK, New York
A New York City based money management firm with $2B AUM is seeking a Sr. Accountant to manage the financial statement preparation process. This position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity (see responsibilities below) to work for a company which recognizes and rewards hard work. Reporting into the Assistant Controller, this role provides strong visibility and mentorship/development. Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of Financial Statements
Lead Departmental Budget reporting
Report analysis and variance explanations
Manage a portfolio of accounts
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
Proficiency in MS Excel
ERP system experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Highly motivated, detail oriented individual
Thrives in a fast paced work environment
