Description
My client is a high growth startup (mid-cap) that has PE backing from some of the biggest names in the industry.
The Controller is hiring 2x net new Senior Accountant positions due to growth to their team in NYC.
This is a fantastic opportunity for straight public auditors looking to transition into industry. The Controller is willing to train on the hands on experience needed to be successful in this role.
They are in the office 5 days a week in midtown NYC.
As always, these are permanent, full time, fully benefited salaried positions (these are NOT temp, or temp to perm).
Compensation is based on experience:
The range is between $95k - $115k base base + discretionary bonus
What you will do:
Working on the Month End Close and Financial Statements
Work within the general ledger
Handling reconciliations, journal entries
Analyze items on the balance sheet
Assist with AP/AR (separate team does the transactions)
Who are you?
Public accounting foundation, highly preferred
Experience with NetSuite, Oracle is highly preferred
A minimum of a BA/BS in Accounting from a top accredited school
CPA or Parts Passed highly preferred
2+ years of experience.
Exceptional communications skills are required. A great dynamic personality and the ability to work along your fellow colleagues is crucial.
He or she must be able to effectively collaborate with individuals both inside and outside the company.
