Robert Half Staff Accountant in New York, New York
Description We are inviting applications for the role of Staff Accountant based in New York, New York. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and executing month-end close duties. Proficiency in Excel and NetSuite is crucial as these platforms will be routinely used in the course of work.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and maintain customer credit applications
• Manage and update customer credit records
• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action for delinquent payments
• Work with Accounting Manager on monthly and annual closings
• Use Excel and NetSuite for tracking and managing monthly deliverables
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly
• Prepare journal entries as required
• Execute month-end close duties efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Skilled in Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge and experience in using NetSuite for accounting tasks
• Expertise in Excel Formulas for financial calculations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations
• Eligibility to work in the specified location
