Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Analyst in New York, New York, 10018, United States. As a Tax Analyst, you will be a critical part of our team, ensuring compliance with state tax laws and effectively managing tax accounting. This is fully remote.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with state tax laws and regulations
• Prepare and submit tax returns and reports
• Conduct detailed tax account analysis
• Implement tax accounting processes and procedures
• Identify and resolve tax-related issues
• Conduct tax audits and investigations
• Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and laws
• Work closely with other teams to ensure accurate tax reporting
• Assist in the development of tax strategies and planning
• Provide advice and guidance on tax related matters.
Requirements • Must have a comprehensive understanding of tax accounting principles
• Proficiency in compliance, with the ability to ensure all tax operations adhere to legal standards and guidelines
• Knowledge and experience in state tax laws and regulations
• The ability to analyze tax data and reports for accuracy and legal compliance
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal departments, government tax agencies, and external partners
• Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve tax-related issues
• Proficiency in the use of tax software for preparing and filing taxes
• Strong attention to detail for reviewing financial records and identifying discrepancies
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
