Description We are seeking a Buyer Associate to join our team based in New York, New York. This role is primarily involved in the purchasing processes within our industry and requires strong communication skills and the ability to work across different time zones when necessary. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, including handling drawings, specifications, and compliance aspects

• Collaborate with team members across various regions and onsite at the Jamestown location

• Utilize SAP and other necessary tools for effective procurement

• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders

• Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to purchase orders

• Uphold compliance regulations in all buying processes and transactions

• Handle onsite requirements as part of the job function

• Be responsible for the transition/transfer coordination with various teams

• Contribute to the supply chain management process

• Develop and negotiate agreements with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and delivery schedules. Requirements • Demonstrated experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role within procurement.

• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, with a preference for SAP S/4HANA.

• Proven ability to manage and process purchase orders efficiently.

• Strong knowledge of buying processes and supply chain management.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and negotiate agreements.

• Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications for products.

• Familiarity with financial notes and the ability to make procurement decisions based on financial analysis.

• Experience in requesting and evaluating quotations from suppliers.

• Knowledge of compliance requirements within the purchasing function.

• Ability to conduct onsite visits to suppliers' factories or production areas when necessary.

• Understanding of the Statement of Work and Request for Quotation processes.

• Experience with the FAA regulations and requirements in purchasing would be a plus.

• Familiarity with ASP - Active Server Page is desirable.

• Willingness to undergo a drug test as part of the hiring process.

• Strong training skills to guide team members and suppliers about time-sensitive procurement processes.

• Ability to manage relationships with suppliers and ensure the supply chain functions smoothly.

• Experience in drafting and managing agreements with suppliers.
