Robert Half Customer Service Specialist in Newark, California
Description We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Newark, California. The person in this role will play an integral part in managing customer interactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the accounts payable department. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Answering telephone calls and emails, providing information such as invoice status and check information, and handling additional Accounts Payable inquiries.
• Directing telephone calls that require information not available to customer service staff to appropriate areas and ensuring that follow-up is provided for all inquiries.
• Assisting the Accounts Payable Department with vendor statement reconciliations.
• Ensuring all invoices are date stamped with the date received by the Accounts Payable Department and are appropriately sorted for processing on a daily basis.
• Entering invoices requiring approval into the system for recording.
• Ensuring that customer needs are met, follow-up occurs for all requests and questions are responded to promptly, and quality assurance processes are maintained.
• Maintaining supplies for the department.
• Scanning invoices that require approvals to the appropriate folders on a daily basis.
• Sorting mail, filing, and retrieving documents as needed.
• Supervising customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Possess strong skills in Customer Service
• Familiarity with business Procedures
• Experience in Answering Inbound Calls
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in handling Invoice tasks
• Experience in Supervising teams or processes
• Ability to perform Reconciliations
• Experience in Filing documents
• Familiarity with QA - Quality Assurance
• Proficiency in using Computer Systems
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies
• Experience in directing Incoming Calls
• Ability to sort Incoming Mail
• Experience with Invoice Entry
• Familiarity with Statement Reconciliations
• GED Equivalent or higher education level
• Experience in Photocopying/Scanning documents
