Description We are looking for a Healthcare Representative to join our team in Newark, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of incoming and outgoing customer communications, coordinating patient care, and maintaining accurate patient records. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing a chance to grow and advance within our team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and respond to a high volume of incoming and outgoing telephone calls and faxes.
• Coordinate and schedule routine patient physician appointments for new and returning patients.
• Facilitate effective communication between the patient and the physician or clinic.
• Deliver expert knowledge regarding clinic-specific processes.
• Accurately document and route calls to appropriate departments.
• Identify urgent customer needs or operational issues, and escalate them appropriately.
• Work with care teams, patients, and outside facilities to obtain necessary information required for care.
• Communicate with the care team and support staff on various patient issues.
• Obtain and update insurance information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
• Deliver a high level of customer service.
• Follow documented protocols and guidelines.
• Meet and exceed departmental quality assurance standards.
• Use reference documents and online knowledgebase tools to clearly articulate accurate information regarding services.
• Utilize the functionality of the telephone system as required.
• Perform other departmental duties as assigned. Requirements • Possess skills in 'Call Center Customer Service', 'Customer Service', 'Answering Inbound Calls', 'Answering Multi-Line Phone System', and 'HealthCare Industry'.
• Open to candidates with varying years of experience, from beginners to those with extensive history in the field.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and contribute positively to the work environment.
• Must have a high level of professionalism and adhere to the ethical standards of the healthcare industry.
• Must be able to handle patient information with utmost confidentiality.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Must possess problem-solving skills to address customer queries and concerns effectively.
• Must be willing to undertake continuous learning and development in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge or background in healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations is desirable.
• Must be adaptable to changing work schedules and demands.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and communication.
• Must have a customer-oriented mindset and a dedication to providing exceptional service.
