Family owned established company is seeking a HR Generalist to join the HR Team. Seeking at least 3 years of HR experience to be a key member of the team in Santa Rosa. This person works directly for the Director of Financial Operations in Concord, Ca. The ideal candidate will have a thirst for learning, be detail-oriented, possess intermediate Excel skills, be comfortable with technology, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where change is seen as opportunity. Additionally, this person will be a team player and recommend decisions that are in the best interest of the company as a whole.

HR Responsibilities 1. Daily auditing of employee time-cards using ADP Workforce Now 2. Prepare HR documents for payroll changes 3. Prepare accident reports and related documentation 4. Screen potential employees and assist management with new hires 5. Manage the employee onboarding process 6. Understanding of all company benefits and is a resource for new hires and current employees 7. Gather and review new full-time documents and benefit enrollment forms for processing at Corporate 8. Assist in the preparation of employee annual performance appraisals and employee discipline documents 9. Schedule worker’s comp, pre-employment and random all candidates required to undergo drug screening appointments 10. Schedule employee certifications & DOT physicals 11. Employee HR Resource – answer and facilitate employee requests 12. Complies with all relevant labor laws regarding reporting and records retention 13. Leave administration with the ability to determine employee eligibility 14. Act in a confidential capacity handling internal inquiries Other Responsibilities: 1. Manage location cell phone account 2. Order business cards and various other company forms 3. Identify opportunities to better utilize technology 4. Develop business process that utilize technologies and are considered best practices 5. Any other administrative tasks that may needed by the business


Skills Required: 1. 2 years of HR and Administrative experience required 2. Intermediate Excel Skills 3. Ability to handle confidential information 4. High level of integrity, initiative and commitment to excellence 5. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 6. Must be able to communicate effectively (written, oral and electronically) 7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a proponent for change 8. Past experience handling confidential information with discretion 9. Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, teamwork and flexibility 10. Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking and customer service skills 11. Must be able to work independently and with a team
