Description
Robert Half is searching for an IT Support Engineer based in Newark, California. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and deploying a diverse range of IT equipment, including PCs, laptops, and handheld devices. You will also provide support for connectivity issues and cooperate with the network team to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to client end PCs and laptops.
• Handle connectivity issues in collaboration with the network team.
• Manage handheld devices such as Zebra (TC 55/77 handheld devices) and ensure back-end servers are functioning properly.
• Coordinate efforts to push packages from SOTI console to devices.
• Oversee the setup of PCs and laptops, including installations for new sites.
• Provide remote support for various IT concerns.
• Utilize skills in Computer Hardware and Deskside Support to optimize tasks.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and users regarding IT-related concerns and updates.
Configuration, deployment, and maintenance of PC equipment and mobile technology
Work with vendors/ISPs and IT team members to resolve problems
Troubleshoot network printers, software installations, and system patches
Requirements
5-10 years of experience in a technical support role
Experience in Deployments
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
Ability to document, track, and monitor problems to ensure resolution
Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
Expertise in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, and desktop business software
Knowledge of network/TCPIP communications, Mac troubleshooting, VPN Technologies and MDM tools
Experience with Antivirus tools like TrendMicro and CrowdStrike
Experience with Zebra handheld devices - TC77x/TC8000 and usage of SOTI
Knowledge of Solarwinds, Automox, OKTA is an added advantage
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a knack for problem-solving
