You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Candidates who can participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes will be preferred for this role. We're looking for people who have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Major responsibilities

  • Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

  • Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

  • Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

  • Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

  • Take part in various department-wide initiatives

  • Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

  • In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

  • Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

  • Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

  • Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

  • Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

•A desire to work for a world renown organization.

•2-5+ years of GL experience focused on cash transfers, massive cash entries (patient payments, health plan payments, etc.), bank reconciliations, and fixed assets/CIP

(manage capital projects).

•Larger company experience preferred

•Strong Excel skills (PIVOT, VLOOKUP, SUMIF etc.)

•Will take straight out of public.
