Robert Half External Financial Reporting Manager in Newark, Delaware
Description
One of our thriving clients is looking to add an External Financial Reporting Manager to their successful finance team. This candidate should have strong data analysis, systems and operations improvement experience as they will be responsible for the reporting and financial analysis process including preparing financial statements and reports, reviewing SEC filings, fixed asset management, grant accounting, budget management, and assist with process improvement and internal control guidelines. This External Financial Reporting Manager will also oversee international business units. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong technical accounting abilities, high attention to detail, and an analytical mindset.
How you will make an impact
· Generate monthly, quarterly financial reports & statements
· Oversee SEC and FERC reporting
· Prepare quarterly earnings communications
· Coordinate internal and external audits
· Build and establish strong client relationships
· Complete trend and variance analysis
· Perform financial forecasting
· Monitor Compliance
· Recommend areas for revenue generation
· Assist with ad hoc projects
Requirements
The ideal External Financial Reporting Manager candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for this External Financial Reporting Manager position include and are not limited to:
· 8+ years in accounting – public accounting and/or utility experience
· 3+ years in management
· CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
· FASB/GAAP, SEC and SOX compliance
· Energy industry experience preferred
