Description
We are looking for a proficient Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry, based in Newark, New Jersey. In this role, you will be instrumental in assessing and improving our existing SAP Business One system, ensuring it is optimized for performance. As a crucial part of our team, you will also leverage your accounting background to streamline our warehouse cycle counts, inventory management, and purchase orders on SAP. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Assess the existing SAP Business One system and identify areas for improvement
• Implement necessary upgrades to optimize system performance and resolve maintenance issues
• Utilize strong SAP Business One skills to enhance system functionality and efficiency
• Collaborate with different departments within accounting/finance to facilitate communication through SAP
• Assist with setting up warehouse cycle counts, inventory management, and purchase orders on SAP
• Implement process improvements to enhance data workflows and data warehousing
• Ensure accurate financial reporting by maintaining an efficient SAP system
• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate customer credit records
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed.
Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Proficiency in SAP Business One
• Proven track record in implementing software and process improvements
• Strong understanding and experience in managing accounting functions
• Demonstrable experience in financial reporting and data warehousing
• Ability to create, manage, and optimize data workflows
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
