Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Newark, New Jersey
Description There is currently a critical need for a Full Charge Bookkeeper with our client to conduct audit, manage clerical staff, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, and financial statement preparation. Major responsibilities
Organize cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
Assemble cash flow projections, as needed
Manage Accounts Receivable
Organize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Business license and gross receipts coverage
Document budget transfers
Alternative special projects as requested
Get ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Arrange monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Keep Accounts Payable up to date
Administer monthly accounting close
Proficient in credit card management and reconciliation Requirements
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
- 5+ years of related experience- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Bookkeeping experience
Command of manufacturing
Strong organization skills
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
-Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
