Robert Half International Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Newark, New Jersey
Description
My client, an international Marketing Company located in Newark, has an opportunity for an International Accounting Manager. This is a remote position but must be located in the tri-state area and able to go to office 1x a quarter.
The International Accounting Manager plays a critical role in the overall accounting operations of the company.
• Responsible for the preparation of journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations for complex areas of the Financial Statements.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Responsible for managing month and year-end closing activities, including but not limited to, review of journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure all transactions, policies and procedures are maintained according to GAAP and IFRS.
• Liaise with various departments to collaborate and manage companywide fixed costs.
• Supervise and provide coaching/guidance to accounting staff.
• Prepare/assist with Ad hoc projects as requested by management.
• Review and enhance accounting processes and general ledger capabilities.
• Manage the daily accounting operations of the international subsidiaries
• Assist with year-end financial audit process and all statutory reporting as required in each subsidiary.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• 7+ years of progressive general accounting with accounting experience under US GAAP; experience in global accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with mid-large size private companies.
• Possess strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred experience with Oracle Cloud.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and use of advanced functions.
