Description
Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Senior Purchasing Associate position. Main duties include supporting the purchasing department. For this Purchasing Associate position, excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required. The Purchasing Associate will ideally have previous purchasing or procurement experience and a desire to advance their career. Are you looking to start your career in procurement? Your responsibilities
Work with vendors and suppliers, always providing superior customer service
Ensure all departments have appropriate inventory levels
Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services
Review that received orders have all necessary information
Help with any additional duties of the purchasing department
Carry out data entry of daily purchase orders
Requirements - High school diploma or GED required
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred
Must have strong research skills and excellent analytical thinking
Excellent organization and documentation skills
Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position
Proficiency in inventory management software programs, CRM, and ERP
