Description
We are looking for a great Audio Visual Engineer to join us! The AV Engineer, a key member of the IT department, is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the school's AV equipment. This role supports all on- and off-campus events that require presentation and performance technology, particularly in the Black Box Theater. Additionally, the AV Systems Engineer will train and support student crews and community members using presentation spaces. Effective communication with the IT and Arts departments is essential, given the high volume of projects and performances.

Technical:
Minimum of 6 full musical theater productions as a Production Sound Engineer and 3 as a Sound Designer.
Proficient in QLab, Yamaha, and Allen & Heath audio consoles, as well as Dante PA systems and Shure microphones.
Experience with control systems such as Crestron, QSC (Q-SYS), and Extron.
Familiarity with Meyer Sound Constellation Systems, lighting equipment, and streaming technology is a plus.
Previous experience in an educational environment is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
General:
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and the school community.
Strong time management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on flexibility and teamwork.
Capable of lifting and carrying 50-75 lbs, as well as stooping, kneeling, crawling, and standing for extended periods. Must be able to use hands for handling objects and controls, work at heights, and navigate performance spaces, including fly lofts, catwalks, loading galleries, grids, rooftops, and storage areas.
Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
