Robert Half, Management Resources is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant consultant to join our client in Irvine, CA. You will play a key role in their accounting department, ensuring accurate and efficient month-end close processes, and meticulous handling of accruals. Your expertise in Excel and your ability to manage complex financial data will be crucial in this role.

Responsibilities:

-Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate closure of financial records.

-Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and review profit and loss statements.

-Maintain meticulous records of accruals, ensuring all expenses and revenues are accounted for accurately.

-Utilize advanced Excel functions and tools to manipulate, analyze, and present financial data effectively.

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is a plus.

-Experience in GL accounting, with a focus on accruals, month-end close, and financial reporting.

-Excel Skills: Proficient in advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros) and experience in handling large datasets.

-Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
