Robert Half Systems Administrator in Newton Grove, North Carolina
Description
We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator role. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of our company's systems, with responsibilities ranging from maintaining and upgrading hardware, ensuring network and communication systems are functioning optimally, to working on our data center. This role requires a broad skill set as it serves as the escalation point for support, phone systems, and various software.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain, upgrade, and replace hardware as necessary
• Ensure efficient operation of the network and communication systems
• Work on the data center to keep operations running smoothly
• Serve as the escalation point for support and phone systems
• Perform upgrades and migrations on Active Directory, MS Office 365, and Microsoft Exchange
• Handle tasks related to Hyper-V or VMware, with a preference for Hyper-V
• Manage storage, particularly with NetApp
• Utilize Cisco Networking skills for layer 3 network management
• Create and manage simple scripts using bash or PowerShell
• Operate and maintain Fortigate/Fortinet devices.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role or similar.
• Proficiency in Active Directory is essential.
• Demonstrated experience with Deployments is required.
• Knowledge of DNS and DHCP is a must.
• Experience with Hyper-V or other virtualization technologies is essential.
• Proficiency in NetApp Storage is required.
• Experience with Cisco Networking is crucial.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365 is important.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Exchange is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
